Maison Chance

Dear friends,

Maison Chance has grown tremendously in the past few years.

It all began with only a shack for some orphans and disabled persons.

Then came the Take Wing Center that has the capacity to host nearly 300 students for basic schooling and professional training. Maison Chance was elevated at that occasion to the status of public utility by the Vietnamese authorities.

Today, Maison Chance is preparing to build a housing complex with a handicapped friendly architecture for disabled persons, called the "Village Chance", in the suburbs of Saigon, near the first Maison Chance.

This growth follows the pragmatic needs conceived by Tim Aline Rebeaud, the founder of Maison Chance, to make possible for the orphans and disabled persons to gain their personal autonomy and a place in society.

The development of the project Maison Chance is supported by a growing number of national associations, in Europe, America and Australia. It is now necessary to federate these associations, to ensure a good coordination and the transparency of the financial flows of support of Maison Chance.

To prepare itself for the future development of Maison Chance, the Maison Chance Associations of Switzerland and of the United States, together with Tim Aline Rebeaud, propose the creation of an International Federation. All organizations supporting Maison Chance should be organised on a national level, so that they can join in the International Federation Maison Chance. A project of statutes and charter for the Federation is herewith attached for your review. We would really appreciate that you give us your comments so that we can finalize this project at the earliest date possible.

We are proposing the following time schedule for the formation of the Federation:

1. Reception of comments:                 March 1st to March15th
2. 2nd Draft and final comments:         March 15th - March 31st
3. Final Draft and signature:               April1st  – April10th
4. International conference:                 April 11th

 

We will celebrate the birth of the International Federation of Maison Chance as we celebrate the birthday of her founder Tim on April 11th.
